at 4271 DAVIE ROAD IN DAVIE FLORIDA,
AN Open Air Surrounding, a Unique Western theme downtown - between Ft. Lauderdale & Hollywood, lush tropical gardens and minutes from beaches, is located at the hub of transportation corridor. West of the Florida Turnpike (GRIFFIN RD. EXIT), State Rd. 84 and I-95. It's South of I-595, State Rd. 84 and I-75.

The Rodeo Grounds has a 7.500 maximum seating capacity  under Roof -  Bleachers on both sides of the Arena (BRING PILLOWS TO SIT for the SHOW) - Hard Clay floor (BRING SHOES FOR CLASS) - A stage of 20 X 40 in size. - Food and Drinks available during the whole event - Plenty of Free Parking.

From Turnpike: Exit  Griffin go west to Davie Rd - turn Right or North - a couple of blocks-                                    
From I-595: Exit Davie Rd. -go South  a couple of miles There is a huge HORSE at the Entrance of the RODEO

SPECIAL GUEST INSTRUCTORS

NEHA SHAH  (INDIA)     RAJISTANI DANCE - FOLKLORE FROM INDIA.  Rajistan is a western state in India where the Indian Gypsies come from, which has a very old and rich tradition of folk dances.  The Banjara and other Gypsies Tribes gather after a day of hard work and sing and dance to ease the burden of life.  The folk songs usually represent stories of life.  Graceful hand gestures, intricate foot movement, and very fast spinning movement are highlights in the RAJISTANI folk dance.

NEHA SHAH is the director of Nautyangaly School of Dance in South Florida.  She is a Teacher in Indian Classical Dance and Folklore for 5 years, has been involved in dance production for the community and has been awarded many times for her Dance. We are honored to present NEHA & experience the very old and rich folklore music and dance from RAJISTAN

NEEFA & SAFA(PA) -are co- founders of Khafif Middle Eastern Music & Dance. Neefa is the artistic director, and was co founder of the world fusion "Ghawazee" dance troupe,  studied many forms of Eurasian dance, and teaches seminars and classes in a variety of style SAFA, performed with Ghawazee and the Canadian troupe Romani Caravan.
THE CLASS:INDO-EURASIAN FUSION is an integration of dance traditions from the Mediterranean and Middle East as well as from the Silk Road areas of India, Persia, and Central Asia. To  make our dance our own - to make it representative of our tribe, NEEFa & SAFA will  integrate the movement vocabularies from these areas into combinations.  Please come warmed up and ready to work - the class will be fast paced and oriented toward learning and integrating movements (some of which may be very unfamiliar) into combinations.

JAS -  SPECIAL GUEST  DRUMS MASTER , Performer of ME percussion. He was lead drummer for the Ghawazee & now performs w/ KHAFIF & Svezda a Balkan folk singing group. He also maintains one of the web's most comprehensive and most amazing sites on Middle Eastern rhythms: www.khafif.com/rhy
THE CLASS: Most of the Middle Eastern rhythms. We will explore how the rhythms are constructed from basic components. Transitions between rhythms, ergonomic playing style, & ornamentation so that drumming is comfortable to the drummer & sounds interesting & "traditional" to the listener.
Beginning Drummers are welcome and even for the more advanced drummer will find the class rewarding. Class notes will be provided (BRING YOUR DRUM)

DALIA CARELLA(NYC) - Most renowned International & national performer. The core of Dalia's work is her research along the ROMANI trail focusing on Spain, India & Turkey, & developed styles as "El Mundo", and "Dunyavi".  Her creativity of blending these Roma Dance forms together is expressed in a fiery & passionate dance experience. She is Fire, Essence, she is Dalia, & we welcome her.
THE CLASS:   a) Dalia will share her research and fusion of ancient and sacred hand gestures and posturing blending movements from Persian, Indian and Egyptian Dance.
b) Dalia will combine those ancient movements, with her unique style of Dunyavi Roma (Gypsy) dance, blending Turkish and Indian gestures, while incorporating rhythmic footwork and skirt combos (BRING FULL SKIRT)

JILL PARKER (SF) - Director of ULTRA GYPSY, for the second time in the SPIRIT of THE TRIBES, by popular demand.  Vibrant, Original material, exciting performances, high standards for technique, stunning and insightful style.   She will share her Dance with ROSE HARDEN

ZIA (GA) director of AWALIM DANCE CO for the 2nd. Time in the SPIRIT, a success in every performance, for the complexity of their combinations and formations, incorporating balancing, and many forms of fire performances.  Their style combines fiery fun Indian Folklore Dance & earthy controlled Egyptian Belly Dance. AWALIM  will be Teaching combo & formations from their renowned Sword & Basket Choreographies (BRING PROPS TO BALANCE)

URBAN TRIBAL DANCE CO(SAN DIEGO-CA) - HEATHER STANTS original co -founder of "Read my Hips", from Chicago, now in San Diego she has formed Urban Tribal  and together they have fused a variety of tribal , Africa, hip hop, flamenco, Indian & modern American dance styles, to form a unique & progressive living dance. She will share her dance with  MARDI LOVE
THE CLASS: will include modern arm & upper torso stylization set to DJ mixed music. This will include break beat arm and chest movements. We will also teach a combination which includes their signature pelvic roll and down hip steps w/ quick drops and some floor work. (knees pads if needed)

FATCHANCE BELLY DANCE- INOVATORS OF AMERICAN TRIBAL IN AMERICA & THE WORLD (SF):
Renowned throughout the nation for their unique & colorful performance - Their Art blend gestures movements & cultural influences from North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, India.

JESSIE GAULD & GRACE CHENEY , both with FCBD for 5 years will share the Essence of American Tribal, created by Carolena Nericcio Director and Founder of the Troupe

MAJA(FL) - ARAB SPANISH FUSION - host of the Spirit of the Tribes. Maja is born in Egypt, w/ Algerian, Rumanian & Russian roots.  Her dance is a blending and reflection of the passion of her roots. Will teach an Arab Spanish Fusion Routine - Up Beat  - Fun - Wild - Gypsy-(FULL SKIRT).

REMINDERS AND INFORMATION

1)-THE SHOW is open for All Dancers Tribal - Fusion - Gypsy Tribal - Romani -  American Tribal - Folkloric Village -World Tribal - Neo Tribal - Ethnic Fusion From Near & Far East and all styles alike

2) -THE SHOW  is open for Dancers pre registered at least for 3 classes - gets Free Show & due to low cost of the fees, Maja gives 5% off total for Performers. 

LIMIT TO SOLOS & DUETS:  5 minutes
LIMIT TO GROUPS: 7 minutes.  LIMITED REGISTRATION FOR LINE UP.

3) -Teachers brings 5 students registered together before JAN 20th.  for at least 3 classes.  gets a Free Show and a Free Workshop (any class, but have to pay for the Drums Class)

4) - Viewers, watchers, buyers and vendors has to register for  the same fees above for classes.

5) - NO REFUND - AT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES.

6) - No Videos allowed - All performers signed a video release, to be sold for students & performers ( Special price for the performers on due time)

7) INTERNATIONAL BAZAAR For Tribals & Belly Dance - Over 20 Vendors, plus the Guest Teachers   will bring their beautiful videos, music and accessories.
